Loyal Studios Co-Producing Pilot for “Loiters Squad” with Odd Future

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All

Burbank, CA (PRWEB) February 15, 2012

If you know what “OFWGKTA” stands for, you either know an avid texter, or you live for the thrill of soul-pumping beats.  The lengthy acronym belongs to the eclectic, alternative Hip Hop group called, “Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All” from Los Angeles.  Their sound joins the ranks of groups defining the music of a generation.

Lead by Tyler: The Creator, the group took off in 2007, but it’s not just one band.  Odd Future is compiled of different subgroups like “The Jet Age of Tomorrow,” and “MellowHype.”  Odd Future shows off the talents of ten eclectic artists from Los Angeles, including Syd the Kyd, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, Left Brain, Jasper Loc, Mike G, and Matt Martian.  The group’s success grew exponentially over the last five years with their internet fan base spilling over into crowded venues like London’s “The Drop,” Southern California’s “The House of Blues,” and the annual master-bands weekend, Coachella.

Loyal Studios and their production crews shot the pilot episode of Loiters Squad in the pre-lit HD greenscreen studio in Burbank California, combining SONY HD camera systems with the 1000 watt playback system that is built into the studio. “Odd Future is on the cutting edge of creativity and free expression. Their talents go beyond Hip Hop into a multilevel entertainment brand. We expect their success to continue to grow as they expand their reach into comedy and television on adult swim.” Says producer Bob Bekian who is also the CEO of Loyal Studios and founder of REALHD.TV.

True to feeding the voracious viewers with slightly weird, unique, and unconventional animated or live action entertainment, Adult Swim will add Odd Future to the mix with “Loiter’s Squad.”  The show will feature sketch comedies, pranks, and skits all calling Shenanigans that fans of Adult Swim have come to love.

Plans Revealed for London 2012 World Sport Day, Presented by Lloyds TSB

Plans Revealed for London 2012 World Sport Day, Presented by Lloyds TSB

Plans revealed for London 2012 World Sport Day, presented by Lloyds TSB

(PRWEB) January 24, 2012

Schools and colleges across the UK are today encouraged to start planning how they are going to celebrate the athletes and cultures of the world on London 2012 World Sport Day, presented by Lloyds TSB, on Monday 25 June 2012.

The day, which will open Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week in England and Wales, will give thousands of young people in schools across the UK the chance to take part in the final UK-wide Get Set event before the London 2012 Games begin.

The plans for London 2012 World Sport Day were announced today at the Copper Box in the Olympic Park. Get Set Network schools Ripple Primary School and Jo Richardson Secondary, both from Barking and Dagenham, took part in the announcement as well as Olympic Gold Medallist Jonathan Edwards, Team GB athletes Zoe Smith and Charlie Walker, Fijian athlete Sisilia Nsigia Rasokisoki and New Zealand athlete Jonathan Paget.

Students from schools and colleges will be encouraged to celebrate the athletes and cultures of the world on the day in a variety of ways including staging their own World Sport Day opening ceremony and profiling the sports, music, dance, languages, flags and food of the world.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) will provide resources to schools through the official London 2012 education programme ‘Get Set’, including tips from the London 2012 Ceremonies team of producers on how to host an opening ceremony for World Sport Day. Schools can download a planning guide to help them to prepare for their day at http://www.london2012.com/worldsportday

LOCOG will also be releasing and promoting new resources every month to help schools plan their day and decorate their school for the celebrations. Schools can request their free event pack on the World Sport Day website; the pack is full of branded materials and decorations, with schools in the Get Set network receiving access to extra materials and opportunities.

In England and Wales, London 2012 World Sport Day, delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, will act as the opening ceremony of Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week, giving schools a great opportunity to kick off a week of school sport and celebrations.

Seb Coe, London 2012 Chair, said: ‘With the Games almost here, World Sport Day presented by Lloyds TSB is a fantastic opportunity to bring the young people of the UK together on one day to celebrate our amazing athletes from all over the world, and their nations and cultures. The day will showcase all the work young people are doing on the teams they have been supporting – whether as a class, a year group or a whole school community. We want to encourage schools to involve parents, governors, members of the wider community and other local schools to join together on 25 June for what will be a great celebration of sport and cultures of the world.’

Team GB athlete Zoe Smith said: ‘The Games are the world’s greatest festivals of sport and London 2012 World Sport Day is a great way to celebrate how London 2012 will bring athletes together from so many different cultures. I have always been inspired by the Games, mainly because it provides a platform to learn about athletes, cultures, food and language from all over the world. I’m delighted to be part of World Sport Day and to see how it will help young people to learn about these different elements, as well as getting excited about the Games!’

Sally Hancock, Director, 2012 Partnership and Group Sponsorship at Lloyds Banking Group said: ‘Since 2008 Lloyds TSB has supported millions of young people in schools across Britain to do more sport through National School Sport Week. As the Presenting Partner of London 2012 World Sport Day, Lloyds TSB is proud to inspire a new generation of young people to try new sports, embrace the Olympic and Paralympic values, and prepare to welcome the world to the UK for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We’re looking forward to sharing the excitement of World Sport Day with schools in our communities as it marks the first day of National School Sport Week 2012.’

World Sport Day builds on the ‘Support a Team’ initiative launched by LOCOG in November 2011 as part of the ‘Get Set goes global’ programme through which schools across the UK were invited to become a supporter of at least one Olympic team and one Paralympic team, along with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, in the lead-up to the London 2012 Games.

Some schools are already planning their celebrations. Roger Mitchell, Headteacher at Ripple Primary School in Barking and Dagenham, said: ‘Here at Ripple Primary School we are proud to hold a yearly Cultural Diversity fortnight. During this time, each class learns about a particular country and then puts on a showcase to celebrate that country’s culture. World Sport Day gives us the opportunity to both celebrate the London 2012 Games and incorporate the Cultural Diversity work and sports activities that our young people enjoy so much. Because we have a wonderful Samba band at our school, we will be supporting the Team Brazil on London 2012 World Sport Day and joining thousands of other schools across the UK in this occasion.’

For further information please contact the London 2012 Press Office

Notes to editors:

Schools need to be registered with the Get Set education programme to be able to access the World Sport Day resources. For more information on Get Set and schools who wish to register please visit http://www.london2012.com/getset

Originals By Weber Announces New Low Cost Way To Automatically, Peel & Affix Self-Stick Mailing, Address & Other Labels

Originals By Weber Announces New Low Cost Way To Automatically, Peel & Affix Self-Stick Mailing, Address & Other Labels

Weber Label Peeler with hand ready to pull down and release labels.

Toms River, NJ (PRWEB) January 26, 2012

Originals By Weber, Toms River, NJ, announces the new Weber Label Peeler a very small hand operated non-electric, highly efficient desktop machine designed to automatically and quickly peel letter size sheets of pressure sensitive, self-stick, labels of many different sizes. Labels are then ready to be picked off and affixed my hand. Eliminates the very boring and time consuming drudgery of doing the job by hand alone.

This is a handy new way to automatically peel and hand affix self-stick (PS) mail address labels and other label sizes such as tab, shipping labels and others. This small (10″x 7″) desktop, hand operated non-electric, fast machine peels the labels at a rate of about 350 labels per hour. Labels are then affixed by hand, no electric needed. Low cost. Much faster and less boring than by hand alone!

NOTE: Picture on the right shows the front of the Weber Label Peeler.

When Weber was asked how he happened to invent this Weber Label Peeler machine he replied:

“Here is the story behind the Weber Label Peeler”

“A few years ago I ran a direct mail service company. We used to mail many thousands of letters every month for a large number of clients using our big electric, automatic mailing machines. One time I had a client with a very small mailing list. He asked me if I would do the mailing for him using his little computer generated mailing list. It was a list that he had printed on letter-sized sheets of labels on (Avery pressure sensitive) sheets of paper. He had only about 230 names on his list. It was such a small mailing I asked him: Why don’t you have your secretary do it?’ He laughed as he said I did – but after doing it once she refused to do that job again because it is so boring and time consuming! I had to agree with him! But I took the job anyway and I did those small mailings for him for more than a year. That is when I thought about the problem people with small lists have, and in a short time I invented my simple little desktop Weber Label Peeler machine to do those kinds of jobs quickly and efficiently. That very basic little machine really does take the drudgery and boredom out hand peeling and affixing labels once and for all.”

Weber Label Peeler is a new invention. It is a non-electric, (rather attractive in its simplicity), desktop office machine used to automatically peel pressure sensitive, self-stick address labels (as well as other label sizes such as small tab labels used to seal self mailers) from letter size (8 1/2″ x 11″) backing sheets.

Weber Label Peeler makes hand label peeling and affixing much faster than ever before.

The desktop macnine is used in home and business offices where several small mailing lists are put on computers. These lists are then used to make frequent small mailings (weekly or monthly for example) to customers, sales reps, or clients.

The names and addresses are printed from the computer onto letter size sheets of die-cut pressure sensitive address label stock (Example: Avery). To get out a mailing, an office worker is given the tedious job of peeling those address labels, one at a time, from the sheet and then affixing them by hand onto an envelope. Doing this job purely by hand is a time consuming; slow, tedious job that is sheer drudgery.

This new hand operated Weber Label Peeler machine speeds up the process (estimated speed is 350 labels per hour or more) by making hand label peeling and affixing faster and much more automatic.

It works like this:

(1) An operator puts a sheet of labels into the machine.

(2) Next a gentle pull on the bottom of the sheet moves a row of 3 labels into position where they can be peeled off the backing sheet one row and one label at a time.

(3) The worker then picks off the first label in the row and affixes it to an envelope.

(4) Then picks off the next label, affixes it.

(5) Picks off the last label in the row and affixes it.

To make the next row of labels move up, the operator again pulls down on bottom of the sheet, then another row of labels pop up into position for removal as before. Weber Label Peeler can be used to peel any label that will fit into a width of up to 9-inches. It can also be used with roll labels (that is: when labels are supplied in rolls, instead of flat as flat sheets of paper.

Orders for Weber Label Peeler, price: $ 95.00 each, can be mailed to: Originals By Weber, 338 Alabama Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753. The Weber Label Peeler is on hand and ready for immediate delivery via USPS Priority Mail. Phone: 877-309-8382 or 732-864-0353 or for more information go to website: http://www.yrret.stirsite.com/page/page/3920328.htm

Satisfaction guaranteed or money back.

GlobalKYC.Com announces Know Your Customer searches for banks etc. in developing countries.

GlobalKYC.Com announces Know Your Customer searches for banks etc. in developing countries.

(PRWEB) August 31, 2002

Press Information

Dated: 29 August 2002

Immediate

From: The Anti Money Laundering Network

Subject:

GlobalKYC.Com launches affordable compliance solution

for financial services businesses in developing world.

AML Net Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian subsidiary of The Anti Money Laundering Network Limited will today launch the first of its range of products for financial services businesses.

GlobalKYC.Com is a low cost service to help banks and other financial services comply with their obligations to identify their customers and to make certain that they do not deal with persons or organisations that governments block.

This will mean that banks will be able to satisfy their correspondent banking partners that money passing into their accounts does not originate from any of the persons with whom the correspondent bank is not permitted to deal.

For example, a bank in Laos may have a correspondent banking relationship with a bank in New York. The bank in New York will have to make certain that the money sent by the bank in Laos does not belong to any of the persons with whom the New York bank is not allowed to deal. By demonstrating that all accounts have been passed through GlobalKYC, and that all new accounts are checked against the most up to date lists, the bank in Laos will be able to satisfy the New York bank that it is safe to deal with.

GlobalKYC will therefore be regarded as a safety net for banks who depend on correspondent banking relationships for their international business.

Because GlobalKYC is intended to be affordable for banks and others in the developing world, its price is only USD7,000 per annum including all updates (USD10,000 for multinationals, regardless of how many overseas branches or offices). Smaller businesses can search for only USD250 for 200 searches (prices exclude applicable taxes).

GlobalKYC.Com launches on 27th August 2002. From then until 30th September, visitors will be able to register free and make up to five free searches using the on-line service.

Quotes:

Nigel Morris-Cotterill, Chairman of The Anti Money Laundering Network and CEO of AML Net Sdn Bhd said:

“The real result of the events of the 11 September last year has been the massive increase in regulation in the financial services industry. No one has escaped their impact. But although there are many new laws in place around the world, their effect has not yet fully filtered through. When it does, many banks and others in the developing world will come under a great deal of pressure to meet requirements set by governments in Washington, London and other places. But the costs of such compliance is extremely high. GlobalKYC from AML Net Sdn Bhd is the first of a series of products, designed and developed in Malaysia, especially to run on low technology, low bandwidth computer systems and at a price affordable by even small financial services businesses in the developing world.”

“AML Net’s GlobalKYC.Com exceeds the compliance standards for US banks under the USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC. It exceeds the compliance standards set by the UK’s Financial Services Authority and The Bank of England. It exceeds the compliance standards in other countres, too. Users should be in no doubt: this product may be priced to be affordable by small financial institutions in poor countries – but it also provides remarkable value for money for even the largest group based in the wealthiest countries.”

“MSC Status is a great advantage for AML Net Sdn Bhd. It allows us to concentrate on the development of product for those countries and businesses that otherwise could not hope to remain in compliance with the massive increase in regulation across the world. As we roll out new products over the coming two to three years, we will develop the global market leader in information and support services for counter-money laundering professionals – but at a price, and using technology and delivery mechanisms, that every affected business can afford.”

Next page: notes for editors.

Notes for editors:

The most famous list of blocked persons is, of course, those of terrorists connected to the events of 11 September 2001. However, there are many other lists produced for various reasons.

Where a financial services business discovers that it has funds that belong to a listed person, the institution must make reports and if they do not do so, they face regulatory proceedings.

It is relatively easy for a business to check lists in its own country but it is time consuming, difficult and costly to check lists in other countries. GlobalKYC.Com therefore compiles lists from many countries around the world and from many agencies.

The consequences of not having an adequate compliance with foreign lists will mean that it is more difficult to maintain correspondent banking relationships with financial institutions in the major financial centres such as London, New York and Frankfurt. Increasingly, Hong Kong is following a similar strict line of compliance. American banks, in particular, are now being made subject to a requirement to check the effectiveness of the systems of their correspondent banks. Correspondent banking is the lifeblood of international banking – and therefore trade – in the developing world.

Compliance software is generally produced with the developed world in mind and requires high capacity computing power. It is also generally very costly. AML Net makes this affordable and accessible twenty four hours a day over the internet.

GlobalKYC.Com also includes lists of “most wanted” criminals from the FBI (USA) and Interpol. Other enforcement agencies are welcome to submit their lists for addition to GlobalKYC.

GlobalKYC also includes a service for law firms to register Mareva (freezing) orders which they have obtained in civil cases. Mareva orders often have world-wide application and banks which hold funds on behalf of those subject to such orders may have a range of options open to them.

Interviews may be conducted with Nigel Morris-Cotterill in Kuala Lumpur and may be in person or by telephone. Interviews should be arranged on +6 03 2076 5181.

HP Creates Innovative Recycling Process, Makes New HP Inkjet Cartridges from Plastic Water Bottles

HP Creates Innovative Recycling Process, Makes New HP Inkjet Cartridges from Plastic Water Bottles

PALO ALTO, Calif. (PRWEB) January 30, 2008

    Core News

     — HP has created an innovative way to produce new HP inkjet cartridges using recycled plastic from empty water bottles and used HP inkjet cartridges.

     — HP used more than 5 million pounds of recycled plastic in HP inkjet cartridges last year, and is committed to using twice as much in 2008.

     — With this first-of-its-kind green technology, HP has already incorporated recycled plastic in more than 200 million HP inkjet cartridges.

     — Using recycled plastic saves energy and keeps plastic out of landfills. HP has already used enough recycled plastic to fill more than 200 tractor trailers.

     — HP combined inkjet cartridges returned through HP’s Planet Partners recycling program with water bottles and additives in a way that ensures all materials meet HP’s high performance standards.

     — It’s a significant achievement to take recycled materials from something as common as a plastic water bottle, and then incorporate those materials along with plastics from recycled inkjet cartridges, and create a highly engineered Original HP inkjet cartridge.

     — HP inkjet cartridges containing recycled plastic perform just as well under the same rigorous quality tests and reliability standards as HP inkjet cartridges without recycled plastic.

     — HP’s comprehensive environmental program considers every facet of the cartridge lifecycle — from design to manufacture to recycling. Customers can be confident in HP’s environmental commitment because HP inkjet cartridges returned through HP Planet Partners are never refilled, resold or sent to a landfill.

     — Did you know plastics and metals taken from recycled HP print cartridges have been used to make a range of everyday new products such auto body parts, clothes hangers, fence posts, microchip processing trays, roof tiles and shoe soles?

     — HP is proud to be an industry leader in green technology. Using recycled plastic in new HP inkjet cartridges creates a “closed loop” system, the result of HP’s commitment to both engineering innovation and the environment.

Quote

     — Michael Hoffmann, SVP, Supplies, Imaging and Printing Group, HP: “By developing the technology to use recycled plastics in Original HP inkjet print cartridges, we have the opportunity to reduce the environmental impact HP products have on the planet.”

     — Michael Hoffmann, SVP, Supplies, Imaging and Printing Group, HP: “HP has made considerable investments in building a recycling infrastructure that made this achievement possible. This is just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish.”

     — Larry Koester, VP of Communications, Environmental Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers: “HP’s use of recycled plastic in an application as technically demanding as their inkjet cartridges represents an unprecedented engineering breakthrough. This remarkable achievement comes after many years of perseverance and ingenuity by HP and their partners.”

LetsTalk Offers Tips to Help Consumers Comply with New California Law Banning Hand-Held Cell Phones While Driving

LetsTalk Offers Tips to Help Consumers Comply with New California Law Banning Hand-Held Cell Phones While Driving

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2006 –

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has added California to the growing list of states that have banned the use of hand-held cell phones while driving. With the signing of bill SB-1613, California drivers will be required to use hands-free devices as of January 1, 2008.

With today’s wireless advances, staying safe while driving and talking on the cell phone is possible. LetsTalk has published some usage tips for people looking to drive and talk safely. In addition, Delly Tamer, founder and CEO of LetsTalk.com, offers these helpful hints for those who are considering hands-free talking options:

Use a headset. “Hands-free” means no hands on the actual cell phone. Today’s variety of cell phone headsets and the plethora of Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth-enabled cell phones make the technology more accessible to everyone. Visit LetsTalk’s site to find information about headsets and other hands-free devices.

Try out Voice Activated Dialing. It’s worth investing the time to learn how to use this cell phone feature. Voice activated dialing allows users to dial stored phone numbers by simply saying a name in the address book. To compare and learn about voice activated dialing-enabled cell phones, visit LetsTalk.com.

Use the speakerphone. Many cell phones have this functionality now. Couple that with voice activated dialing, and consumers never have to pick up a cell phone again while driving.

Understand the law. Many counties and some states have laws about using a cell phone while driving. If you plan to use a cell phone while driving in different areas, be sure to check into the local cell phone laws.

Don’t type and drive. For now, hands-free options aren’t yet available for texting, e-mailing or sending IMs, so these functions are best left to non-driving situations.

“Talking on a cell phone is just one of many distractions that can compromise the safety of all drivers on the road, so for those who must talk while driving, it’s a good idea to invest in a phone with hands-free features,” said Delly Tamer. “In 2000, LetsTalk began encouraging people to keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel. Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Lens

The advanced multi-layer T* coating within the Carl Zeiss lenses minimizes reflections, reduces flare and increases contrast.
